Kristen Goltz Holistic Trauma IFS EMDR Intensive Therapist

Hi, I'm Kristen Goltz, MFTC

(she/her)

I am a wounded healer-  like many of you, I've experienced neglect, abuse, trauma, grief, and loss. I also know what it is like to be a neurodivergent, queer person navigating a world not designed for me. These experiences led to me embark on my own healing journey where I experienced the transformative power of IFS and EMDR therapy. I was deeply restored and my soul was awakened. I had the realization that we all have the capacity to heal, no matter how much trauma we've experienced. Now, I'm deeply honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate their healing journeys.

My Story

Like all of you reading this, I have my own identities that shape how I see the world.  Not only am I wounded healer- I am a single mama, a peaceful co-parent, I have ADHD, am queer identifying and LGBTQIA+ allied, cisgender, white, and consider myself to be a spiritual lightworker.

I was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado and went to college at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado for my undergrad. I studied Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies with the intention of becoming a family lawyer. During college, I had my son and became a single parent and co-parent when he was a baby. After going through the family court system, I realized that I wanted to help others in a way that felt more aligned, so I took three years off to find my calling. During that time, my own therapist asked if I had ever considered pursuing a career as a therapist. I had always had a passion for personal development and psychology, so after in depth research, I decided to pursue a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.

During the last four years, my interest has shifted and grown as I found my niche-sensitive souls who have experienced trauma, neglect, abuse and are ready for deep and meaningful change. As a queer person myself, I love working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am deeply spiritual- I love incorporating astrology/natal charts, meditation, crystals, chakra balancing, and whatever my clients bring into session. In my free time, you can find me expanding my spiritual practices through meditation, spending time with my son and partner, at the gym or whipping up a meal, and exploring the beauty of my home state of Colorado.

I am currently under supervision. My supervisors name is Kaitlin Jones, and her license number is 01378.
