My Story

If you’ve experienced trauma, you may feel like something inside you is broken or missing. You may struggle to feel safe in relationships, feel anxious, emotionally disconnected, and overwhelmed, even in situations that should bring you joy. Your past may still echo in the present, shaping how you view yourself, your relationships, and the world. You may feel exhausted from constantly battling negative patterns and thoughts, re-experiencing past wounds that keep you stuck in a place of hurt. You may have tried therapy in the past, read self help books or listened to podcasts, you may cognitively understand your past and the impact it’s had on you, yet your symptoms persist.

You don’t have to carry this weight alone. I became a therapist because I am passionate about helping people find their own internal strength and capacity to heal. Not only that, I believe I have been divinely called to walk alongside them on their healing journey. People like you who want to change their relationship with themselves and others. People like you who feel stuck in painful patterns that are no longer in alignment with who you deeply desire to be. I seek to create a safe, compassionate space where you can start to understand your relationship to yourself. Together, we’ll explore the impact trauma has had on your life, not just in your mind, but in your body, relationships, and sense of self.

My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner strength and improve your relationship with yourself by providing a space that is safe, warm, and encouraging. I am dedicated to helping my clients meet their goals and heal, grow, and thrive. Your background, experiences, personality, concerns, and goals are unique, and your treatment should be catered to your unique needs. Rather than relying on only one approach to therapy, I utilize several evidence-based, trauma-informed treatments including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT). I draw from each of these research-backed modalities to collaborate with you on to create a unique treatment plan that is catered to your unique needs.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from Colorado State University, and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. I have also completed several advanced clinical trainings in evidence-based trauma-informed modalities to ensure that I can help you achieve your goals. These include: Somatic and Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) from the Personal Transformation Institute, which is an EMDRIA approved EMDR training that focuses on how trauma is stored in our body and nervous system, and often stems from our most intimate relationships; Emotionally-Focused Therapy Intensive Externship, which focuses on how our primary emotions and needs drive our behaviors and impact our relationships; Clinical Trauma Professional training, which focuses on how to regulate the nervous system; Internal Family Systems (IFS) Immersion course by Dr. Frank Anderson and Dick Schwartz from PESI, which focuses on understanding and applying the basic concepts of IFS to a variety of populations; Play Therapy Certificate from Capella University, which focuses on client-centered relational and creative approaches, such as sand play therapy to process trauma. I am currently under supervision. My supervisors name is Kaitlin Jones, and her license number is 0001378.

I am a queer identifying therapist who is also an LGBTQIA+ ally, and all sexualities and gender expressions are welcome! I am spiritual and witchy- I love incorporating astrology, natal charts, meditation, crystals, chakra balancing, and whatever you bring into session- I am open to learning and exploring more with you. In my free time, you can find me expanding my spiritual practices through meditation and yoga, spending time with my son and partner, at the gym, whipping up a made from scratch meal, hands buried in dirt in my garden, and exploring the beauty of my home state of Colorado: skiing, hiking, camping, paddle boarding, or adventuring.
