Kristen Goltz Holistic Trauma IFS EMDR Intensive Therapist

Hi, I'm Kristen Goltz, MS, LMFT

(she/her)

Being a therapist isn’t just what I do - it’s who I am. It’s my calling to walk alongside survivors of struggle as they begin the courageous work of healing. I don’t just understand this journey - I’ve lived it.

There was a time when I felt completely lost, trying to navigate the pain of ongoing grief, the challenges of co-parenting, complex PTSD, and the lasting effects of narcissistic abuse. It was my own dark night of the soul - a period of deep unraveling that changed everything.

But through that darkness, I discovered my capacity to heal - to accept and embrace all parts of myself. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, I emerged more grounded, aligned, and purpose-filled than ever before.

When the call came to help others find their way back to themselves, I knew I had to answer. Today, it’s my greatest honor to hold space for others as they heal, grow, and reconnect with the truth of who they are.

My Story

I was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado, and earned my undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Originally, I planned to become a family lawyer - but life had other plans.

During college, I became a single parent to my son and navigated the family court system firsthand. That experience deeply shaped me and ultimately shifted my path. After taking time off to reflect and realign, my own therapist asked if I had ever considered becoming a therapist myself. It was a question that sparked something powerful.

I’ve always been deeply fascinated with our connection to our selves and others, to behavior, to personal growth and psychology, so I followed that call and earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.

Over the last few years, I’ve found my niche: working with individuals who have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse and are ready for deep, meaningful transformation. I specialize in supporting highly sensitive people, self-aware empaths, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community -creating a space where healing feels safe, grounded, and empowering.

As a deeply spiritual person, I bring a holistic approach to therapy. I love incorporating tools like astrology, natal charts, meditation, crystals, and chakra work into sessions -always tailored to your unique needs and interests.

When I’m not in session, you’ll find me expanding my own spiritual practices, spending time with my son and partner, cooking nourishing meals, hitting the gym, or soaking up the beauty of my home state of Colorado.
